Material Handler

 

The Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrated safe working habits including good housekeeping in work areas and on equipment used.
• Proven ability to operate the forklift in a safe and effective manner.

The Job:

• Safe, efficient movement of parts and job travelers within and between Focus Factories, QA, and receiving.
• Moving raw materials to and from designated indoor and/or outside storage locations.
• Ensuring parts are properly marked and moving them to the correct kanban area.
• Emptying chip bins, & maintaining areas around outside scrap bins.
• Maintaining coolant storage tanks.
• Maintaining lube room including inventory and housekeeping.
• Assisting in maintenance of warehouse including ensuring all parts are correctly labeled and stored in correct location.
• Assisting with packaging and shipping.
• Picking up parts from offsite locations as required.

Competencies:

          Work Experience and Job Skills:             

• Minimum of one year forklift experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.

          Academic, technical and professional competence:

• Grade 12 preferred.
• Valid driver’s licence with a history of safe driving  (successful applicant will be required to provide drivers abstract).
