We are proud to have SaskPower identifying us as a leader in Continuous Improvement (CI) and are being taught by our Standard Machine CI team the fundamentals so that they can take what they have learned back to the Crown corporation and teach their people how it is done. This opportunity and recognition once again shows the vision and commitment towards excellence our company and its employees have shown.
The first quarter of 2013 has been extremely busy with the installation of the Scheiss Gasher and the completion of the Niles 25 foot VTL. With the MAAG Gear Shaper backlogged for quite sometime yet, the Gasher will take some load off the gear cutting times and help to improve upon our delivery commitments.
2013 started off exhibiting a slowing down of the mining and oil/gas inquiries but the short term trend has been very positive in terms of inquiries in the past two months. Once our customers are able to approve and proceed with the inquiries we are projecting a strong 3rd calendar quarter.
The MRP line is growing steadily and the interest in our products for the shovels will remain strong for quite some time as the South American strategy is paying off. Continued focus on customer service and reliability within our company and our goals is also seeing dividends.
We will continue to ride the roller coaster over the next year, I believe, as our markets adjust to the continued uncertainty in the world. The one thing that will remain consistent is our vision and goals towards creating a SAFE and FUN work environment for our employees and a reliable, quality, on time product and PRECISON SOLUTION for our customers.
