Vice President of Sales and Marketing

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 15+ years in sales and/or marketing in an international manufacturing environment with management experience

  • A visionary with the ability to “push” the organization and expand its thinking with sales and marketing strategies including the use of technological sales tools.

  • A highly demonstrated ability to lead people.

  • The expertise to think and plan ahead over a 3 to 5 year time span.

  • The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

  • Be able to perform problem analysis and resolution at a strategic and functional level.

  • Have the ability to analyze, interpret, and negotiate complex contracts.

  • Have the ability to make effective and persuasive presentations.

The Job:

  • Development of sales and marketing strategic plan in conjunction with the Finance, Operations, Engineering and IT strategic business plan for Standard Machine.
  • Identifying and developing new and existing target markets.
  • Ensuring functional and enterprise integration while driving employee professional development .
  • Implementation of new practices to improve competitive advantage in sales and marketing programs in fulfillment of Standard Machine’s strategic initiatives.
  •  Managing and directing all activities of the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service functions.
  • Maintaining constant communication with Manufacturing Operations, Design Engineering and other departments to identify product and process developments and needs.
  • Overseeing national and international sales team and representatives in mining, energy and industrial sectors.

Competencies:

          Work Experience and Job Skills:

  • Progressive experience effectively managing sales and marketing at  an international level preferably in the industrial sector.
  • Must have proven ability to capture market share.
  •  Will possess the demonstrated ability to impact the business quickly, with a history of achieving goals verified through metrics.
  • Positive, high energy candidate who is aggressively constructive and adaptable to change.
  • Proven ability to understand complex pricing & cost structure in bid preparation.
  • Team building and effective development of talent in the competencies required for sales and marketing functions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with data driven analytical ability.
  • Understanding of mining and energy market places

 

           Academic, technical and professional competence:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering is required.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude through education such as Mechanical Technologist or Mechanical/Mining Engineer.
