Engineering or CAD/CAM Technologist

 

The Ideal Candidate:

• CADD/CAM Engineering Technologist Diploma
• Microsoft Office Suite literacy
• Working knowledge of Inventor Premium Suite 2012
• Knowledge of the use of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) micrometers and callipers will be considered an asset
• Three to five years work experience in a similar industry

Personal Aptitudes

• Capability to work with moderate supervision in a fast paced TEAM environment
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to organize and facilitate multiple projects in an accurate timely manner

The Job:

• Creation of Inventor 3D drawings and maintenance of AutoCAD drawing files, customer supplied drawings and parts system libraries
• Maintain and update drawing filing system
• Assist in the development of drafting standards
• Check new drawings and documentation when required and ensuring correctness and conformance to the latest ISO specifications
• Requisition material by providing accurate and timely sketches and specifications for long lead time raw materials and purchased goods
• Preparation of production related information including Drawing Release, Material Requisitions, Profile Point Data etc.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of  drafting technical and time standards
• Assist in the maintenance of Standard Machine drawing data-bases
• Troubleshoot problems with workflow, drawing specifications and layout
• Reverse engineering of various assemblies in the Factory as well as on site at various international customer locations
