Marketing Assistant

 

The Job:

As a Marketing Assistant you will be responsible for the day to day coordination of marketing initiatives:

  • Search engine optimization
  • Development of relationships with websites and online influencers, creating and distributing online content, and assisting with overall social media strategy development and tactical plans
  • Provision of support to proactive marketing campaigns
  • Compilation of contact lists through all digital channels
  • Identification of new marketing opportunities, generating ideas and advising on best practice
  • Provision of recommendations to the company based on data analysis to optimize digital brand engagement.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Be web savvy and have experience using and communicating in social networks, blogs, and content sharing communities;
  • Possess an excellent command of the English language including strong writing skills and be able to provide samples of previous multi-media work;
  • Possess strong internet research skills with the ability to find and compile interesting and   relevant content (blog posts, news items, photos, video, etc.);
  • Be a quick learner, able to take the reins on a project with limited guidance;

Competencies:

          Work Experience and Job Skills:             

  • 2+ years of hands-on digital marketing
  • Proven ability to adapt to a mechanical manufacturing environment

          Academic, technical and professional competence:

          (A minimum of one of the following)

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree (Marketing or Communications major)
  • Business Marketing Diploma
