Maintenance Industrial Mechanic

 

The Ideal Candidate:

• Good organizational skills.
• Able to work well with others.
• Able to take and follow instructions.
• Demonstrated safe working habits including good housekeeping in work areas and on equipment used.
• Ability to control / understand all electrical requirements throughout the plant
• Proven ability to troubleshoot in a safe and efficient manner.

• Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations
• Positive, high energy person who is aggressively constructive and adaptable to change.
• Willing to work overtime
• Ability to work rotating shifts

 

The Job:

• Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment and facilities.
• Deciphering drawings and manuals.
• Documentation of equipment maintenance logs
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area according to LEAN principles.
• Planning all requirements for upgrades/moves as required
• Purchasing material in a cost effective manner

Competencies:

          Work Experience and Job Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A minimum of 3-5 years experience in an industrial setting preferably in a machining / fabrication environment.

       Academic, technical and professional competence:

• Qualified candidates will be a Journeyman Industrial Mechanic.  Equivalent experience will be considered.
• Valid driver’s licence with a history of safe driving  (successful applicant will be required to provide drivers abstract).
